Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of Strictbot, a Discord bot that provides moderation tools, utility commands, virtual casino games, and server economy features.

Acceptance Service Description Eligibility Permissions Acceptable Use Moderation Virtual Economy Admin Commands Availability Disclaimers Liability Termination Changes

This page is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional. If you operate a large public server, commercial server, or regulated community, review these terms with your own counsel.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting, authorizing, configuring, interacting with, or continuing to use Strictbot, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the Discord server you own, administer, or moderate.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Strictbot and remove it from any Discord server where you control bot access.

2. Service Description

Strictbot is a Discord bot designed to provide server moderation commands, server utility features, role and channel tools, logging-related functionality, virtual casino-style games, virtual currency, wallet and bank systems, shop items, achievements, leaderboards, and related entertainment features.

Strictbot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Discord Inc. Discord is a third-party platform, and your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's own terms, rules, community guidelines, and platform policies.

3. Eligibility and Authority

You may use Strictbot only if you are permitted to use Discord and are allowed to add or interact with bots in the relevant server. If you invite Strictbot to a server, you represent that you have the authority to do so or have received permission from the server owner.

Server owners and administrators are responsible for deciding whether Strictbot is appropriate for their community, including communities with younger members, gambling-sensitive audiences, or stricter moderation expectations.

4. Discord Permissions and Server Setup

Strictbot may request powerful permissions, including administrative or moderation-related permissions, to perform commands such as banning, kicking, timing out, locking channels, managing roles, deleting messages, setting slowmode, creating verification panels, logging events, or operating other server-management features.

You are responsible for reviewing Discord's authorization screen before adding Strictbot. You are also responsible for placing Strictbot's role appropriately in the server role hierarchy. Strictbot cannot manage members or roles that are above or equal to its highest role.

Granting excessive permissions to any bot can create risk. Only grant permissions that match how you intend to use Strictbot.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Strictbot to harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, spam, impersonate, evade enforcement, distribute malicious content, violate Discord rules, violate applicable law, or interfere with the operation of other communities.

You may not attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, automate abusive use of, or bypass access controls in Strictbot. You may not use Strictbot to collect sensitive personal information, coordinate real-money gambling, or run financial schemes.

6. Moderation Features

Strictbot includes moderation commands such as kick, ban, unban, warn, timeout, untimeout, jail, unjail, purge, bot clear, lockdown, unlockdown, lock, unlock, automod word filtering, staff-role stripping, moderation cases, and moderation logs.

Moderation decisions are made by server staff, not by Strictbot. Strictbot provides tools that server staff can use, but server owners remain responsible for their rules, enforcement standards, staff conduct, appeals process, and member treatment.

Strictbot may create or display moderation cases for accountability. However, case records may be incomplete, unavailable, removed, corrupted, or affected by Discord API failures, bot downtime, permission errors, or configuration mistakes.

7. Virtual Casino, Games, and Economy

Strictbot's gambling, casino, and economy commands are for virtual Discord entertainment only. They do not involve real money, real prizes, cash value, financial instruments, cryptocurrency, redeemable goods, or legally recognized gambling value.

Virtual balances, bank balances, jackpots, shop items, achievements, rebirths, titles, badges, statistics, leaderboard positions, cooldowns, and game outcomes have no monetary value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred for real-world value, redeemed, refunded, withdrawn, exchanged, or treated as property.

Strictbot may include games and economy commands such as blackjack, slots, roulette, dice, highlow, rock paper scissors, duel, bet, crime, work, rob, daily, weekly, bank, deposit, withdraw, rebirth, shop, buy, inventory, use, profile, achievements, jackpot, and leaderboards.

Game outcomes may involve random chance. Bugs, command errors, exploit fixes, balance caps, cooldowns, anti-abuse actions, or moderation decisions may change virtual balances or access to economy features at any time.

8. Admin-Only and Owner-Only Commands

Some Strictbot commands are intended only for trusted staff, administrators, or the bot owner. These may include commands that alter roles, messages, channels, filters, configuration, economy balances, logging, bot profile settings, admin lists, or server state.

Server owners are responsible for choosing trusted administrators and controlling who has access to admin-only commands. Misuse of admin commands may lead to member disruption, data loss, channel changes, moderation errors, or server damage.

9. Availability, Updates, and Changes to the Bot

Strictbot may be updated, suspended, limited, restarted, rate-limited, removed, or discontinued at any time. Commands, cooldowns, payouts, limits, permissions, moderation behavior, economy values, and feature availability may change without prior notice.

Strictbot may be unavailable because of hosting issues, maintenance, code errors, Discord outages, API changes, permission problems, abuse prevention, or other operational causes.

10. Disclaimers

Strictbot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. No warranty is made that Strictbot will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, exploit-free, suitable for your server, or capable of preventing raids, spam, harassment, scams, moderation failures, gambling abuse, or economy exploits.

You are responsible for maintaining your own server rules, staff practices, backups, permission reviews, incident response, and member communication.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Strictbot's operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, virtual balances, server access, server configuration, reputation, goodwill, or community activity arising from use of or inability to use Strictbot.

Because Strictbot operates on Discord, some issues may arise from Discord permissions, outages, API limits, account actions, or third-party platform behavior outside Strictbot's control.

12. Suspension, Removal, and Termination

You may stop using Strictbot at any time by removing it from your server through Discord's server settings. Strictbot access may also be restricted, disabled, or removed from servers or users that abuse the bot, violate these Terms, create security risk, or disrupt operation.

Removal of Strictbot may stop access to commands and may make some bot-managed data or features unavailable.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be revised as Strictbot changes. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Continued use of Strictbot after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
